CGPA Calculator (2026)

CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) is the credit-weighted average of your grade points across every course or semester. It is calculated as the sum of (grade point × credits) divided by the total credits. Because it is credit-weighted, a high grade in a 4-credit module moves your CGPA more than the same grade in a 1-credit module.

GPA usually refers to a single semester or term, while CGPA is cumulative across your whole programme. You compute each from the same formula; CGPA simply includes all courses to date. Some institutions also recompute CGPA each semester as more modules are added.
