KrisFlyer Miles Calculator (2026)
Three modes in one tool — calculate miles earned per flight, miles needed for award redemption, and the cash-equivalent value of your KrisFlyer miles balance. Updated for the post-November 2025 award chart.
Why this calculator vs. SIA's official tool?
Singapore Airlines' official miles calculator only does earning — it tells you miles per flight, but not what those miles are worth or what you can redeem with them. This calculator fills the gap with three modes: how miles are earned, how many you need for an award flight, and crucially, the cash-equivalent value across different redemption paths. The 3–4× gap between KrisPay and Saver award flights is the single most under-known fact in the KrisFlyer programme.

How KrisFlyer Miles Really Work
KrisFlyer is one of the most generous airline loyalty programmes in the world for premium-cabin redemptions. The catch: most casual members redeem their miles via KrisPay or KrisShop, leaving 50–70% of value on the table without realising it.
Worked example 1 — earning: a SIN-LHR round trip (~13,600 miles flown) on Economy Standard fare earns 13,600 × 75% = 10,200 base miles. An Elite Gold member adds 25% = 12,750 total. On Business class (125%) it jumps to 17,000 base + 4,250 bonus = 21,250 miles.
Worked example 2 — redeeming: a one-way SIN-LHR Saver Business award is approximately 97,000 miles after the Nov 2025 devaluation. The same flight in Economy Saver is 41,000 miles. At cash prices of ~S$1,000 (Economy) and ~S$5,000+ (Business), the cents-per-mile is ~2.4¢ for Economy and ~5¢ for Business — Business class redemptions deliver double the value per mile.
Worked example 3 — KrisPay vs award: 50,000 miles via KrisPay = ~S$415. The same 50,000 miles redeemed for a one-way Saver Business award to Bangkok (Zone 3, 36,000 miles = ~S$1,200 cash value) gives you S$1,200 of value — nearly 3× the KrisPay rate. Always check award redemption first.
When KrisPay does make sense: if your miles are about to expire and you have no flight in mind, KrisPay is better than zero. But if you fly once a year, even one premium-cabin redemption beats years of KrisPay accumulation.

Frequently Asked Questions
How are KrisFlyer miles earned per flight?expand_more
KrisFlyer miles are earned based on flight distance × fare-class percentage. Economy Lite/Value earn 50%, Standard 75%, Flexi 100%. Premium Economy earns 110%, Business 125%, First/Suites 150%. KrisFlyer Elite Silver/Gold/PPS members get an additional 25% bonus, EXCEPT on Lite/Value fares.
How much is 10,000 KrisFlyer miles worth in Singapore?expand_more
10,000 KrisFlyer miles is worth approximately S$83 via KrisPay (lowest value, ~0.83¢/mile), S$160 via Saver Economy redemptions (~1.6¢/mile), or up to S$300 via Saver First/Suites redemptions (~3¢/mile). The same miles balance can yield 3–4× different value depending on how you redeem.
How much is 50,000 KrisFlyer miles worth?expand_more
50,000 KrisFlyer miles is worth approximately S$415 via KrisPay, S$800 via Saver Economy, S$1,250 via Saver Business, or S$1,500 via Saver First/Suites. For premium long-haul redemptions, this is one of the most valuable mid-tier miles balances in the loyalty world.
How much is 100,000 KrisFlyer miles worth?expand_more
100,000 miles is worth approximately S$830 via KrisPay or S$2,500–S$3,000 via Saver premium-cabin redemptions. 100,000 miles is enough for a one-way Saver Business class flight from Singapore to Europe (Zone 11, ~97,000 miles post-Nov 2025) or a round-trip Saver Business flight to Tokyo (Zone 6, ~136,000 miles).
Should I redeem miles for KrisPay or award flights?expand_more
Almost always award flights. KrisPay redeems at ~0.83 cents per mile (you get S$1 of credit per 120 miles). Saver award flights typically yield 1.5–3 cents per mile depending on cabin class — that is a 2–4× value gap. KrisPay only makes sense if you have a small balance about to expire and no use for a flight.
When do KrisFlyer miles expire?expand_more
KrisFlyer miles expire 36 months from the date they are credited to your account. Elite Gold and PPS members get longer validity windows. You can extend miles by paying a fee or by earning new miles activity, but the only way to truly preserve value is to redeem before expiry — preferably for high-value awards.
What changed in the November 2025 KrisFlyer devaluation?expand_more
Effective 1 November 2025: Economy Saver awards for Zones 1–9 (Asia / SW Pacific) were reduced by 5%. However, Business and Suites Saver awards for Zones 1–9 increased 5%, and ALL cabins for Zones 11–13 (Europe / USA) increased 5%. Net effect: short-haul Economy redemptions got marginally cheaper; long-haul premium got more expensive. The 2026 award chart reflects these post-Nov-2025 levels.
What is the difference between Saver and Advantage awards?expand_more
Saver awards cost fewer miles but have very limited seat availability — Singapore Airlines releases only a small number of Saver seats per flight, often months in advance. Advantage awards cost roughly 1.5× the Saver miles but have far broader availability, including last-minute seats. If a Saver award is unavailable for your dates, Advantage is your fallback.
