Frequently asked questions
Why include commuting?expand_more
Commuting is time you give up because of the job, even though it is usually not paid working time. Switch to your actual one-way time for each offer.
Does 44 hours apply to everyone?expand_more
No. MOM’s statutory hours and overtime rules depend on coverage under Part IV of the Employment Act. The 44-hour default is a common arrangement, not a claim that every employee has that limit.
Why subtract paid leave from work hours?expand_more
The salary continues while you are on paid leave, so those days improve the effective hourly value. Enter only days you expect to take.
Is employee CPF a loss?expand_more
No. It is your money credited to CPF, but it is removed from immediately spendable cash here. Compare the separate CPF amount when assessing total compensation.
