It also counts the total days, weeks and months you have lived, tells you which weekday you were born on, and counts down the days to your next birthday. All calculations use real calendar months and leap years.

Quick Reference
- • Exact age = completed years, months and days since birth
- • Singapore uses the international age system (age 0 at birth)
- • Leap years and real month lengths are counted exactly
- • A leap-day birthday is treated as 1 March in non-leap years
- • Next-birthday countdown shows 0 on the day itself
How exact age is calculated
The calculator subtracts your date of birth from today, then expresses the gap as completed years, months and days. When today's day-of-month is earlier than your birth day, it borrows the real length of the previous month — so February, 30-day and 31-day months, and leap years are all handled correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calculate my exact age?expand_more
Your exact age is the difference between today and your date of birth, expressed in completed years, months and days. This calculator counts full calendar months and accounts for leap years, so a birth date of 15 June 1990 viewed on 29 June 2026 gives 36 years, 0 months and 14 days.
How are leap years handled?expand_more
The calculator uses real calendar arithmetic. When the current day is earlier in the month than your birth day, it borrows the actual number of days from the preceding month (28, 29, 30 or 31), so February and leap years are counted correctly rather than assuming every month is 30 days.
When does someone born on 29 February have a birthday?expand_more
A person born on 29 February (a leap day) only has a calendar birthday every four years. In non-leap years, this calculator treats them as turning a year older on 1 March, which is the common convention. In leap years their birthday falls on 29 February as normal.
How many days old am I?expand_more
The calculator shows your total days lived alongside your age in years, months and days. It also converts your age into total weeks and total months, which is useful for tracking a baby’s age or counting down to a milestone.
Why does my age look different from the "Korean age" or "lunar age"?expand_more
This tool calculates your international (Western) age — the number of complete years since you were born, which is what is used officially in Singapore. Some traditions count age differently: the East Asian or "Korean" age counts you as 1 at birth and adds a year each Lunar New Year, so it can be 1–2 years higher than your international age.
How many days until my next birthday?expand_more
The calculator shows the number of days from today until your next birthday. If today is your birthday it shows 0. It also tells you the day of the week you were born on.
