Singapore's Three-Pillar Retirement System

Retirement in Singapore is built on three pillars — and most people only think about the first one.

Pillar 1: CPF LIFE provides lifelong monthly payouts starting from age 65 (or later if you defer). The amount depends on your Retirement Account balance at 55. For 2026, the Full Retirement Sum is $220,400, the Basic is $110,200, and the Enhanced is $440,800. Deferring payouts increases your monthly amount.

Pillar 2: SRS (Supplementary Retirement Scheme) lets you contribute up to $15,300/year for immediate tax relief. When you withdraw after 63, only 50% of the amount is taxable — a significant long-term advantage most people underuse.

Pillar 3: Personal savings and investments — everything else, from your brokerage portfolio to rental income to cash savings.

The Retirement Income Calculator combines all three pillars so you can see if your total monthly income will meet your target. One number, no guesswork.
