PSLE Score Calculator (2026)
Convert your subject marks to Achievement Levels and see your total PSLE score.
What is the PSLE Score?
The PSLE (Primary School Leaving Examination) score uses an Achievement Level (AL) system introduced by MOE in 2021. Each of four subjects is graded AL1 (best, 90-100 marks) to AL8 (below 20 marks), and the total score is the sum of all four ALs — ranging from 4 (best) to 32, with lower scores being better.

How PSLE Achievement Levels Work
The PSLE Achievement Level (AL) system was introduced by MOE in 2021 to replace the T-score system. Each subject is graded on a scale of AL1 (best) to AL8 (lowest), based on fixed mark ranges rather than relative ranking.
Your total PSLE score is the sum of all four subject ALs. The best possible score is 4 (AL1 in every subject) and the lowest is 32 (AL8 in every subject). A lower total score is better.
This system means students are assessed against fixed standards rather than against each other, reducing unnecessary competition while maintaining academic rigor. Planning ahead for secondary school? Our O-Level Points Calculator can help you understand L1R5 and L1R4 scoring for the next milestone.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the PSLE scoring system work?expand_more
Since 2021, PSLE uses Achievement Levels (AL) instead of T-scores. Each subject is scored from AL1 (best) to AL8 (lowest). Your total PSLE score is the sum of all four subject ALs, ranging from 4 (best) to 32 (lowest). A lower total score is better.

AL1: 90–100 marks, AL2: 85–89, AL3: 80–84, AL4: 75–79, AL5: 65–74, AL6: 45–64, AL7: 20–44, AL8: below 20. Each band represents a range of marks for every subject.
What is a good PSLE score?expand_more

How many subjects are counted in PSLE?expand_more
PSLE scores are based on four subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Science, and Mother Tongue Language. All four subjects are compulsory and contribute equally to the total AL score.
Can I use Foundation-level subjects for PSLE?expand_more
Students taking Foundation-level subjects are scored on AL A to AL C (instead of AL1 to AL8). Foundation results are mapped differently for secondary school posting. This calculator covers Standard-level scoring only.
